The fully realized vision of songwriter Jonathan Stowers, Kicking Up Leaves combines the acoustic potency of Griffin House with the ambient textures of Sigur Ros and the electronic layering of Radiohead. Originally from the Midwest, Stowers composed those songs from the collected stories of his first post-collegiate years along with those of friends from his adopted hometown of Santa Cruz, Calif.
